DEPOSIT (Back to Search List)

Why is There a Deposit?  These are rentals, after all.  We've found the odds of us getting our equipment back increase when renters leave a deposit.  We've tried it both ways, and unfortunately in this case, money talks.  Of course you'll get your deposit back, as long as you return your system on time in the same condition.  That's why it's called a DEPOSIT.  We just want to make sure we get our equipment back on time and in the same condition we rented it. The money is then simply refunded back to your card the same way it is when you return an item to any department store, etc.  To learn more, please see our Terms & Conditions.

When Will I Get My Deposit Back? It can take up to 2 WEEKS to process your refund IN THE ORDER IT WAS RECEIVED from the day we RECEIVE your return shipment. Please, DO NOT contact us before then to find out where your deposit is.  Please, know that we are working on it and that it will be processed as quickly as possible.  To learn more, please see our Terms & Conditions

Are There Any Additional Fees?  If you RETURN OUR EQUIPMENT ON TIME in the SAME CONDITION AS YOU RECEIVED IT, PACKAGED AS YOU RECEIVED IT then there are NO ADDITIONAL FEES beyond the cost of the rental.  Otherwise, the FEES are as follows:

CANCELLATION FEE: $25

LATE FEE: $35/Day

MISPACKAGING FEE: $25 (This Fee is Rare. Simply Follow Return Instructions to Avoid This Fee.) WRAP CABLE AROUND MICS: $1/Cable.

DAMAGE/REPLACEMENT FEE: $25-$125 Duet Microphone, $250 Main Microphone/Karaoke System, $200 Song Card, Card Holders $3/each, Plastic/Velcro Ties 50c/each

How Can I Avoid Paying Additional Fees?  The following are a few simple steps to avoid paying any additional fees:

RETURN YOUR RENTAL ON TIME! Sounds simple, right? Unless you've purchased Extra Days (under "Accessories"), your rental is due NO LATER THAN the business day (M-F) following your event date. So, for example, if your event date is Saturday make sure it ships out on time, NO LATER THAN Monday from a STAFFED facility of the carrier on the return label. Simply go to the carrier website and enter your zip code to find the closest STAFFED facility. (A STAFFED facility can SCAN your package proving you returned it on time. The scan date along with the pick-up date is what we use to verify when the rental was actually returned.) Make sure your package is scanned in time to ship out NO LATER THAN the DUE DATE for return. For example, if you have it scanned on the due date after the final pick-up for that location it will not ship out until the next day, meaning it was returned a day late. The day it ships is the day it is returned, so make sure your package ships on time. If we don't receive your return on time, we can't deliver it to the next customer. We lose the sale, their business, etc. So, "do unto others" and get it back on time. If it's late, then take responsibility and try better next time. If you need Extra Days, be sure to order them in advance.

REPACKAGE YOUR EQUIPMENT AS RECEIVED! Sounds simple, right? How would you like to receive the rental? Then "do unto others". We send you our equipment very well padded, everything individually wrapped, the cords wrapped nicely, etc. Simply return it the same way and you'll be fine. This is electronic equipment, so don't just chuck it in the box. If it gets damaged from mispacking you will have to pay for it, not to mention it's pretty disrespectful. Take a moment and pack it nice, just like you received it. It'll take you 5 minutes or less and you'll feel good about it. Specifics:

  • CLEAN IT: Did you get it dirty while you were using it? Take a moment with a NON-alcohol baby wipe and gently wipe it off (DO NOT RUN UNDER WATER! MAKE SURE IT IS NOT PLUGGED IN! Use only warm water on a gentle cloth or a NON-alcohol baby wipe to remove any excess dirt). Generally, this applies to the white mic cable that will show the most dirt. Simply wrap the NON-alcohol baby wipe around the cable and gently pull it through the cloth. Repeat twice in each direction, folding the NON-alcohol baby wipe each time and being careful not to let the mic plug slam on the floor while making sure the mic remains resting on a table. DO NOT HANG THE MIC BY THE CABLE - THIS CAUSES DAMAGE.
  • WRAP THE MIC CABLES SEPARATELY IN WIDE LOOPS! DO NOT WRAP AROUND THE MICS! THIS DAMAGES THEM! It seems convenient to wrap mic cables around microphones, but this actually damages them, greatly reduces the life of the equipment and makes it a real pain for us to unwind. Simply wrap them as you received them, in wide loops, ready to present to the next customer. Wrap each cable separately and package each mic separately.  (DO NOT wrap the mic cables together or forget to wrap them and send us a bag of "spaghetti".) The following is a helpful video to teach you how to wrap a mic cable. There are other videos online that go over the "over/under" technique - the BEST way to wrap a cable.
  • RETURN IN the SAME BOX w/ORIGINAL PADDING (or similar). Make sure it is well padded inside a protective box. We send it in a sturdy box - don't return it in a bag. Use common sense. Electronic equipment=protective packaging.
  • RETURN ALL THE EQUIPMENT! We send you instructions that include a packing list. MAKE SURE YOU TRIPLE-CHECK the list that everything is there. Check off the list and return it with your rental return. Is the POWER CABLE in the box? We secure it to the system, but some customers find a reason to unplug it anyway and often forget to return it. Do you have ALL the SONG CARDS? There is a $200 FEE for missing song cards. Are all the CARD HOLDERS ATTACHED? There is no reason to detach the card holders. You simply open them slightly and slide out the card. If they have been detached be sure to reattach them.

What Types of Payment Do You Accept? We keep it simple! You may pay with CREDIT CARD, DEBIT CARD, PAYPAL. We DO NOT accept PERSONAL/BUSINESS CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS, ETC. WE DO NOT FILL OUT CONTRACTS, W9s, ETC. WE DO NOT SEND INVOICES, OTHER THAN YOUR PAYPAL RECEIPT. You pay for the service, Paypal sends you a receipt, we provide the service. Simple as that!

Why Rent a System When I Can Buy One? That's Simple: You GET THE SONGS AND THE SYSTEM WITHOUT the HASSLE! 

You may be able to purchase a VERY CHEAP karaoke system, but remember - you get what you pay for!  Cheap systems SOUND CHEAP, DIE FAST and become OUTDATED EVEN FASTER till they're nothing more than an OLD, EMBARRASSING RELIC collecting dust in a corner of your home like most CHEAP-MART systems you see and all that BEFORE THE PARTY'S EVEN OVER!  Do you want your friends and family saying, "nice try" at having a karaoke party or DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A KARAOKE PARTY?! 

And, that's JUST THE SYSTEM ITSELF!  WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC?  You need SPECIAL KARAOKE MUSIC where the WORDS FOLLOW ALONG on the SCREEN!  And, don't even THINK of trying that VOICE REMOVAL FAKERY on your mp3 collection unless you want the music to sound like R2-D2 in a TIN CAN, not to mention it DOESN'T WORK - the VOCALS ARE STILL THERE!  EMPTY PROMISES!  And any "FREE" karaoke music you find out there is going to sound just as cheesy - YOU'RE BETTER OFF PLAYING THE MUSIC YOURSELF on YOUR CASIO KEYBOARD than singing along with those clunkers.  Again, do you want them saying "nice try" or THAT ROCKED!...?  

So, you've got your cheapo system and now you're going to try to find GOOD music for it.  Ok.  Imagine the TEDIOUS HOURS and DOLLARS AFTER DOLLARS spent trying to get GREAT KARAOKE MUSIC for your new system. (Keep in mind, we don't have to imagine - this is our life.)  Now, instead of SAVING TIME AND MONEY you're actually SPENDING A WHOLE LOT MORE!  And, we mean A WHOOOOLE LOOOOOT MOOOOORE!  You can forget any social life you once had because now all your once "FREE" time will now be spent adding HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of songs to your new, soon to be forgotten, karaoke system.  And, NEW SONGS are COMING OUT LITERALLY EVERY DAY!  How do you expect to keep up with them all? Is the Rental System Easy to Use? Can you press a button? Then you can use our rental system. It's that easy! It's just plug & play. Scroll up or down the page alphabetically to find the song you want, press play and you're singing karaoke. All the songs are built-in to song cards. No CDs to mess with. It's so easy to use a child could do it, though we do always recommend parent supervision.

Is the Rental System Easy to Transport? Well, it weighs less than 3 pounds and could be easily carried in a purse or glove compartment. How's that for easy?

Is Shipping Included? Yes! Round-trip shipping is included with your order. We include a return label. Simply repackage the system in the same self-seal box, stick the label on over the previous label and ship. Simple! (When ordering, be sure to select the correct shipping option from the drop down menu - LEARN MORE in the next question and answer.)

Which Shipping Option Should I Choose? We ship your rental by STRESS-FREE, GUARANTEED, EXPRESS DELIVERY so you're not wondering if it's going to arrive on time for your event.  (We DO NOT USE GROUND shipments for your rental delivery because there is no guarantee of when they will arrive and Ground shipments are especially unpredictable around the holidays...and most other days.) You can choose a 3 DAY EXPRESS, 2 DAY EXPRESS or OVERNIGHT DELIVERY. REMEMBER: We will always ship to arrive the business day before your event, unless your event is tomorrow in which case we will obviously ship to arrive the day OF your event, so choosing a shorter shipping time will not make your shipment arrive earlier. (To have a shipment arrive earlier, you can ADD EXTRA DAYS in advance, which are cheaper than paying a late fee. Please, see Accessories.) For example, if your event is this coming Saturday, and you place your order by 5p CST the Tuesday before this coming Saturday, then you will want to choose the 3 DAY DELIVERY option. If you order after 5p CST Tuesday and before 5p CST the Wednesday before this coming Saturday, then you will want to choose the 2 DAY DELIVERY option.  If you order after 5p CST Wednesday and before 5p CST the Friday before this coming Saturday, you will want to choose the OVERNIGHT option. If you order after 5p CST the Friday before this coming Saturday, you will want to change your event date to a date after the Monday following this coming Saturday because that's when your order will be processed.  (You can also try calling us in the rare event we may be working late that night, but don't count on it....it is Friday, after all.)  If you fail to choose the correct shipping option, we will simply deduct the difference from your deposit.

When Will My Shipment Arrive? We ship your rental by STRESS-FREE, GUARANTEED, EXPRESS DELIVERY to normally arrive the BUSINESS DAY (MONDAY-FRIDAY) BEFORE YOUR EVENT so you have time to test the system, call with questions, etc.  This also provides a "cushion" day, so, in the rare event it is needed, we can still overnight any replacement parts, additional equipment, etc.  (PLEASE NOTE: During the holidays and high-volume seasons we may need to ship to arrive the day of your event. It is not to your advantage or our's to ship you equipment after your event or equipment that does not work. We want you to have a great time and tell all your friends, not be stressed about missing or non-functioning equipment, so we make sure we do it right. We are the inventors and leaders in the Nationwide Karaoke Rental business and we triple check to ensure we are shipping fully functional equipment on time for your event.)  

If you order today and your event is tomorrow or you need us to ship to arrive the day of your event, we certainly can, however, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, you will only be covered for our equipment from the event date onward, since we will obviously NOT have an extra day to overnight you any replacement equipment, additional accessories, etc. (However, if we make the decision to ship your system to arrive the day of your event due to the holidays or a high-volume season, then we will still cover the rental as if it arrived the business day before. If there is any problem, you will simply need to ship the system back to us that same day to receive full coverage.) 

Can I Pick Up the Rental? We ship nationwide straight to your door, saving you time, money and hassle. We DO NOT currently offer local pick-up.

When Do I Need to Return My Rental Equipment? Unless you PAID or would like to pay for ADDITIONAL RENTAL DAYS, your EQUIPMENT IS DUE FOR RETURN NO LATER THAN THE BUSINESS DAY FOLLOWING YOUR EVENT!  MAIL RENTALS (i.e. rental(s) that were mailed to you) are DUE for SHIPMENT the BUSINESS DAY FOLLOWING YOUR EVENT and should be returned to a STAFFED facility of the mail carrier so it can be SCANNED in. (Please, see Terms & Conditions for more information.)


Is There a List of Your Songs On Your Website? Yes! There is a song list link for each of our Core Systems (i.e. Elite 500 - Elite 2000) where you place your order on our home page.  Some Special Collections song lists are also available online and will also be viewable on your TV screen. (All Special Collections listed on our site are available, regardless of whether or not there is a song list link or add to cart link present for that collection - simply add it to your cart via the home page of our website.)

What Styles of Music Do You Offer? ALL STYLES!!! What styles do you like?

Can I Make Special Song Requests? YES!  Absolutely!  You can ADD AS MANY SONGS AS YOU LIKE!  In addition to our SPECIAL SONG COLLECTIONS, individual SPECIAL SONG REQUESTS can also be added to any of our systems under Accessories.  We also have LANGUAGE and RELIGIOUS PACKAGES that can be added.

Do the Songs Have a Guide Vocal Option? Yes! All the songs in our CORE ELITE COLLECTION (i.e. the songs in our Elite 500, 1,000, 1,500 and Elite Complete/2,000) all have a Guide Vocal Option, meaning you have the option to hear a professional singer singing the lead vocal of the song. (Guide Vocals in our Special Song Collections and Individual Song Requests vary and may or may not be available.) This feature can be turned on or off, as you desire by simply clicking the left button and alternating between "Karaoke" and "Original". 

Are the Songs You Offer Made by the Original Artist? All professional karaoke is produced by the best studio musicians in professional studios to SOUND just like the original artist and are NOT created by the original artist.  It would cost MILLIONS to pay for the rights to use the original artist's recordings to make millions of karaoke copies - just consider what Michael Jackson paid for the original Beatles recordings and what filmmakers pay to use original recordings in their movies (they often can't afford the songs they really want and have to settle for other options).  If anyone or any company tells you they are offering karaoke CREATED by the ACTUAL artist, they are sadly mistaken or are simply lying to you. So, in light of this fact, we personally seek out, listen to and review every song we add to our collection to insure it is as close to the original recording, as possible.
